Health Insurance for Comic Artists!
HERO, an organization that in the past has been devoted to taking care of retired comic creators is expanding its focus to taking care of current ones as well. They are currently looking to offer industry wide health insurance to freelancers. Here's hoping they pull this off and the insurance is worth a damn.

Get into comics!
Think comics are cool, but don't know where to start or what you'll like?
Take the Comics for New Readers Quiz!
I can't guarantee the results, but I took it twice and was recommended some pretty good reads.

The Prophet Mike Myers
Marlena and I watched the movie "So I Married an Axe Murderer" last night. She had never seen it and I hadn't seen it since it first came out in '93. It's still a funny movie, and it's funny to see Mike Myers doing all the same voices he's doing now over 10 years ago.
At one point in the movie Phil Hartman shows up in a cameo and it made Marlena and me sad that in real life he really did marry an axe murderer... well his wife shot him to death at least. We found it a little creepy that he was in such a prophetically titled movie, but it wasn't a big deal until Michael Richards showed up in his own cameo and went off on a room full of people to stop judging him, yelling about how he's an insensitive man.
That creeped us out.
Weird how much can happen in 14 odd years.
In other news, I recieved another piece of Knucklejelly fan art from the super nice Gilles Lafaye
